New Arab American Theater Works
Inaugural Playwright Incubator Program

New Arab American Theater Works has an exciting opportunity for a limited number of SWANA (Southwest Asian/North African) and/or Muslim playwrights to participate in our inaugural playwright development program.  We are looking for early to mid career playwrights who are interested in meeting bi-monthly in a supportive environment to develop new work. This will culminate in a showcase for a public audience.

Playwrights will receive $1000 compensation for their participation, and a public reading hosted by New Arab American Theater Works

If you identify as Southwest Asian/North African and/or Muslim, please submit a short bio or resume., and a copy of a play you have written, and fill out the form below.

Special consideration for playwrights who live in Minnesota, but open to playwrights outside the metro area.

Facilitator:  Kathryn Haddad is a mid career playwright who has had writing residencies from the Playwrights Center, Theater Mu, Pangea World Theater, and the Jerome Foundation.  Her work has appeared on stages across the United States.  She is the artistic and executive director of New Arab American Theater Works.
